European Museum Awards 2021
OMM was awarded a Special Commendation in the “European Museum of the Year Awards 2021.”
OMM was awarded a Special Commendation in the “European Museum of the Year Awards 2021”, in which museums that have been open to visitors in the past four years or have undergone a wide-scale transformation are evaluated. Special Commendations are granted to museums with innovative perspectives and are deemed exemplary to museums throughout Europe. While announcing the award, Marlen Mouliou, Chair of EMYA Judging Panel described OMM as “a museum that manages to create a democratic and inclusive environment, open to all.” An EMYA judge had visited OMM and made their own assessments within the last year.
As the OMM family, we are delighted to share our pride with our community of art enthusiasts. We also congratulate the Museum of Troy, who won a Special Commendation in "EMYA 2020", and the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, who won the 2021 Silletto Award.
